Who and where

In 2008, we decided to dedicate ourselves to welcome in family and for this reason we have opened our beautiful country house to tourists and travelers who want and desire to visit the lovely place we live.

Our family: Monia, Mario, little Vittorio, "Brigante dei Cesari" (our nice Bernese Mountain Dog) and Wistiooka (our nice KWPN horse in CLUB IPPICO TICINO).

We bought a part of the "Cascina dei Cesari" in 2002 and we restructured our home choosing the typical and local materials and taking care of details. We tried to use all old building materials and old things: also today we look for typical materials or other things in flea markets or in old material dealers. Our starting point was choosing the right materials and colours. The floors are in handmade "cotto" (red, rose and yellow one) at the ground floor, in old wood at the first floor: we also tried to keep the old wood ceilings and the external country typical details.

The country home has a garden of about 2000sq m: a part is dedicated to flowers and threes (we take care of them with a lot of work), a part is an orchard and a small one is use for vegetable garden and for our courtyard animals.

We live in Gagnago, a small hamlet of the village Borgo Ticino in the province of Novara. We live in a small village near the Lake Maggiore. We are 9kms far from Arona, 25/30kms from the Lake Orta, 60kms from Milan, 110kms from Turin, 15kms from the Malpensa airport.

FROM A26 HIGHWAY

To reach us, you have to exit at the tool booth "Castelletto Ticino- Borgo Ticno" of the A8 Milano-Laghi highway. Then, go on in the direction of Novara for about 4km. After the Tamoil petrol pump in Borgo Ticino, go on and turn right in the direction of  Divignano-Agrate Conturbia (there are signs of Golf Club CastelConturbia and Torbiera Park), go on again and at the first street on your right turn in the direction of Agrate Conturbia and go on for about 1km. Then, on your right you will find the road sign "Frazione Gagnago", turn right and go on for about 400m. After crossing a narrow, turn left at the first street in "via dei Cesari". Go on for about 300m: you will see a red country home with a "horse" on the roof. You have arrived at destination.

FROM MALPENSA AIRPORT

On exiting the airport, follow SOMMA LOMBARDO signs. Take a small 2-lane road which goes through the woods for a few km until you come to the town of Somma Lombardo. At the first roundabout, TURN RIGHT (there is an old church opposite), then follow the road along until the next roundabout, where you turn LEFT. Stay on this main road, going through 2 or 3 traffic lights. The main road curves round to the right and then goes straight for quite a while.  Before the next major crossroads, get into the left-hand lane and turn LEFT at the traffic lights (posted Varallo Pombia). Stay on this road until you are out of town, road dips down towards the Ticino river. At the bottom the road takes a 90-degree right turn and you go alongside the river for a bit, then a 90-degree left over the bridge, and on up the other side. Go straight on into and through the village of Varallo Pombia, following signs for ARONA and/or NOVARA until you come to the main Novara-Arona road (SS32), where you turn RIGHT towards ARONA. Stay on the SS32  - according to which way you have come through Varallo Pombia you may have to go over 2 roundabouts on the SS32 or just one.  The important one to notice is the one with a large shopping centre on the right (Il Gigante), because after passing it, 300 metres on take the FIRST LEFT, posted Divignano-Agrate Conturbia (there are signs of Golf Club CastelConturbia and Torbiera Park), go on again and at the first street on your right turn in the direction of Agrate Conturbia and go on for about 1km. Then, on your right you will find the road sign "Frazione Gagnago ", turn right and go on for about 400m. After crossing a narrow, turn left at the first street in "via dei Cesari".
